2017 Hot Wheels

Mark your calendars now for June 23-25th for Tri-Valley’s Hot Wheels Invitational! This year we packed our trunks and moved our show to beautiful Cumberland, Maryland. Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, Cumberland is home to amazing history, scenic beauty, and artistic wonder.

Located a short 2 hour drive from the Washington Monument, your easy commute along US I-68 is one that will defiantly get you into the relaxed mood for an enjoyable mountain retreat. The Tri-Valley board has worked hard to put together an eclectic schedule of events so that almost anyone could find something to excite them.

We have added two optional tours for those that have a little extra time to spend with us. Friday afternoon we will have our Early Bird Tour that will highlight the pioneer days of the area and we will join a young George Washington in the actual trenches of the French and Indian War (with the added bonus Tiffany windows). Sunday Morning we have a Sunday Funday tour that will feature Mountain Maryland with stops in the Mountain City of Frostburg, Md and a drive to the mountain vista atop Dan’s Rock State Park.

Our Friday Night BBQ has been replaced with a Twilight Taillight Ice Cream Social. The party will celebrate the lights and sights of the city and of our cars and contain one or two surprises. The Invitational Show will be held on Cumberland’s Historic Pedestrian Mall with the added features of live entertainment, vintage car films in a preserved 1931 Art Deco Movie Theater, a southern bbq catered lunch, and even more surprises. Our awards banquet will be held in our host hotel and we will hopefully be passing out many awards to all your beautiful vehicles. Cumberland has embraced our visit and has worked hard to put together additional attractions for us to participate in, so if you still feel like you need something more to do I’m sure Cumberland has it to offer.

In addition to the wonderful new activities, we have also reduced the cost of attendance an astonishing $125 per couple over last year! Yes folks, you will be getting more for less! By reducing our registration fee to $99 and negotiating a hotel group rate of $89 per night you will be sure to have some extra coin for a couple extra gallons of gasoline for some touring of our area attractions.
