Join the LCCI’s Delaware Valley, Straight Eights, and Tri-Valley Regions Saturday, May 20th for a car filled day in the collector car mecca of Hershey, PA!

Caravan from your respective regions and join the other regions at the AACA Library & Research Center at 11:00AM. The AACA Library & Research Center is one of the largest and most honored libraries of its type in the world. The collection contains books, sales literature, brochures, company documents, owner’s booklets, periodicals, service manuals and many more items all related to the automotive industry and hobby. For our visit, the Library & Research staff will pull together a special display for us to view.

At the Library we will have a pizza party with soda refreshments; a $5 donation to LCCI is suggested to cover the cost of lunch. The Library entry is free for all.

Next stop will be the AACA Museum. The AACA Museum is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of motor vehicle history in a manner that provides for the education and entertainment of museum guests. On display for you to explore are numerous vintage vehicle displays and interactive exhibits featuring cars, buses, motorcycles, and other automobiles from the 1890s through the 1980s. Along with their permanent exhibits there will be three special exhibits for us to peruse. The first special exhibit is Hemmings Classic Car Detroit Underdogs, which is guest curated by our very own LCCI member, Milton Stern. The second exhibit is Garage Finds: Unrestored Cars that Survived Time, which will feature our very own LCCI member Eric Kirk’s 1941 Studebaker. The final special exhibit celebrates the Camaro & Firebird 50th Anniversary.

The Museum charges an admission fee of $12 for Adults, $11 for seniors, and AACA Members are free with their current AACA membership card.

Our final stop for the day will be to a very special Delaware Valley supporter’s private collection located in Hershey, PA. Henry W. “Hank” Hallowell, III, President of the AACA Museum Board of Directors, has an astonishing collection housed in a previous Pontiac garage. Hank is working hard with Delaware Valley President Tony Paolini to rotate his collection in order to feature some amazing vehicles that are bound to impress.
