For those who are not early risers, you can arrive later. Once there, we can park and mingle with the locals, and tour the museum (admission is $10, on your own, which includes parking for the day). There will be time for you to stroll through the charming town and hit the local shops. Our group lunch at the St. Michaels Crab and Steak House (on your own dime) is a short walk away. After lunch, we will walk back to our cars and depart for a 15-minute scenic drive to a 165-acre waterfront estate in Royal Oak, MD, where we will tour a pair of stables converted into themed car barns, which include a saloon, gas station, and frontier town. The cars range from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. Due to security and privacy concerns, we will provide the address/directions directly to those who RSVP/attend.

About St. Michaels
St. Michaels is a charming waterfront town along the Miles River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore (Talbot County). It is located just 40 minutes south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge off of Route 50.  We anticipate this will be a pleasant drive, as it is pre-season.  There is the chance of some congestion once headed into town, but there is a back-way to the museum we can take to potentially bypass any issues.

Lodging
There is no official host hotel, but we have some suggestions for anyone who wants to spend a night or two. All such arrangements are on your own.  However, if there is significant interest in a group gathering for dinner (based on your RSVP responses), we will coordinate a dinner with a local establishment.  Be warned that there is another event in town that weekend, so vacancies might be limited.
